want to contribute some of your work to the zine? Have loads of people ooh-and-ahh over it from far flung areas all over the planet? see your work in print? Of course you do.
we always consider interesting work, ideas and writing (basically, if we like it, it goes in). so if you'd like to contribute something or have an idea you want to propose, send us an email and we'll discuss. you won't be paid but your work will be seen by a fair few people, which is sort of the point, really. in return for your effort and generosity we’ll post you a copy of the issue that features your work and a PDF of your pages.
submitting work - what you need to know:
supplying images
• images should be 300 dpi and either jpeg or Tiff
• 150mm height x 212mm width (full page with bleed)
• other sizes - 212mm wide (or smaller) x anything smaller than 150mm height
supplying text
• file type: microsoft word, apple works (ugh!) or an rtf file will do.
• remember, it's a zine, not a book so be succinct (500 - 600 words max) and please don't put loads of tabs and fancy columns in. it's a nightmare to unravel and we have enough sleepless nights as it is.
proposing ideas
as stated, if we like it, it goes in, but seriously, we’re interested in showcasing work that's interesting, challenging, thought provoking and might otherwise go under the radar. we especially like putting forth ideas and questions that pertain to what being an artist is about in these strange times we live in.
how to send stuff
email is fine as long as the file is around 4 megs or less. otherwise slap it on a cd and post it to us. but let us know it's coming.
deadlines
don't you hate that word? yea, so do we. well, sort of. ok, not really. deadlines tend to give us that kick up the backside to Get Stuff Done. therefore, submission deadlines will appear on the home page once production schedules are decided.
